Jake had always been an ordinary dog – sniffing, running, playing -- until one far-from-ordinary day at the park. His accidental encounter with an extra-dimensional horror sets in motion a chain of events that endangers two worlds: not only the waking, but a dream realm of which no dog had ever been unaware! That place had been exclusive to humans and cats, as well as a menagerie of other beings that exist only there, but the presence of the alien beast has required the cats to recruit Jake and his best friend, Sandy, to find and eliminate the threat. With his friend and a troop of reluctant allies, Jake sets off on an adventure to track down and confront the thing. Along the way he learns much about the dream world, but also far too much about the ugly the nature of reality and hate and politics. Most importantly though, he learns about himself and just how extra-ordinary a dog he can be if he believes in himself.
